Every teacher has to have a good teacher bag. One of our second grade teachers, Miss Mardigian, is leading a service project with a group of teenagers in March who will make bags to give to over 75 elementary school teachers in inner-city schools. To add to this project, she would like to fill each bag with books for these teachers to add to their classroom libraries.
If you have any children’s books at home that you would like to donate for the cause, please send them school with your child. Books will be collected until Friday March 15th.
Even though it is winter time, our garden still needs as many eyes as possible checking it! If you have a few minutes to help out we would love that. The classes that came out in October did a wonderful job planting arugula, beets, brocolli, deer tongue lettuce and radish!!!
We need help weeding and just checking to make sure the garden is getting enough water. We have turned off the water and will water manually as needed. Please feel free to clip some lettuce, it is delicious! You may discard your weeds over in the old sandbox behind the trailer.
You can also sign up to available times for checking the garden by clicking here.
